There will inevitably be moments in life where your faith will need to become active. What do I mean by that? Well I can tell you that I’m not telling you to take your faith out for a jog (though I’ve found praying during my workout is AWESOME). I’m talking about making your faith an act of your will not just something in the back of our minds. Faith is something that is constantly growing and in moments of challenge that faith will become more than just a muscle we exercise on a daily basis, it will become a vital part of the challenge you are facing. You will have thoughts of doubt, stirred up by the utter weight and anxiety brought on by whatever it is you are going through. You may find yourself wondering when God is going to send help, and where it will come from. Take a look at this, memorize it, and absorb it in to your DNA!!!
Deuteronomy 7:9 (ESV)
“9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations…”
Here’s the same verse out of The Message bible (which is pretty much a paraphrase of scripture)
“7-10 God wasn’t attracted to you and didn’t choose you because you were big and important—the fact is, there was almost nothing to you. He did it out of sheer love, keeping the promise he made to your ancestors. God stepped in and mightily bought you back out of that world of slavery, freed you from the iron grip of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know this: God, your God, is God indeed, a God you can depend upon. He keeps his covenant of loyal love with those who love him and observe his commandments for a thousand generations.”
I don’t feel that I need to say much more than that. I’ll just let that sink in to ya a bit. GIT IT IN YOUR BLOOD!!!
